जीवन और मृत्यु
व्यक्ति जिस पल शिशु के रूप में जन्म लेता है, उसी पल से वह मरना शुरू कर देता है। अगर इसे न पहचानना जाए, न समझा जाए, तो जो जीवन का यथार्थ है, उससे उसका कोई संबंध नहीं हो पाएगा। यदि मनुष्य मृत्यु को जीवन से विपरीत और पृथक समझता है, तो वह भूल कर रहा है और ऐसा करने पर वह जीवन और मृत्यु के पार जो तत्व है, उसे कभी समझ नहीं पाएगा। संत कबीर कहते हैं कि सारे संसार में नित्य कोई-न-कोई मरता है, लेकिन फिर भी ठीक रूप से मरना कोई नहीं जानता। जो ठीक से मरने का राज जान गया, वही ठीक तरह से जीने का राज भी जान पाएगा और इसे जानते ही वह इन दोनों के पार हो जाएगा, इन दोनों से पार हो जाना ही मुक्ति है।

If man considers death to be opposite and separate from life, then he is making a mistake and in doing so he will never understand the substance which is beyond life and death. Saint Kabir says that in the whole world someone dies everyday, but still no one knows how to die properly. One who has come to know the secret of dying properly, he will also be able to know the secret of living properly, and knowing this, he will be able to cross these two, to cross both of them is liberation.
